SMT (surface mounted technology) is a kind of circuit assembly technology that installs the surface assembly components without pins or short leads (SMC / SMD for short, which is called chip element device in Chinese) on the surface of printed circuit board (PCB) or the surface of other substrates, and is welded and assembled by reflow welding or immersion welding.

The production equipment in the SMT workshop are high-precision machines, which have certain requirements for the dust-free level of the environment in the SMT workshop. Too much dust in the SMT workshop has an impact on the mounting accuracy and welding quality of small components, such as 0201 and 01005 components with a very fine spacing of 0.3mm.

Excessive dust will also increase equipment wear, even equipment failure, and increase equipment maintenance costs. Therefore, the workshop work site shall be kept clean, free of dust, corrosion and odor gas. It can not only reduce the impact of dust particles on products and equipment, but also ensure the normal operation of equipment and the health of workers.
